Series: A Day in the Life..

1) I'm surprised how much I have learned this year in Digital Photography. Not only about photography in general but about myself. I learned that I actually do have the potential to take pictures and make them look absolutely amazing without any photoshop. I've proved myself wrong a lot this quarter. In photography, I learned all about Photoshop and what you can do on it. Such as: changing the opacity of something and mixing pictures, making them look realistic. I don't think I let my creativity shine out as much as I could, but I could always try some other time.

2) I would define "fine art photography" as anything that somebody made, put the time into it to make beautiful, and something they're proud of. A fraction of people in Digital Photography took pictures just because they had to. I consider fine art photography as something beautiful and something worth showing off.

3) A part of me has always wanted to be a photographer, but I know for a fact that I will NEVER have the money to buy my dream camera and fulfill my goal of taking the perfect picture. I do think in the future photography will play a small role in my life, I may do it as a side job to get extra money.

4) I've always always ALWAYS been drawn to Macro pictures. I really don't know what it is about them, but I love the way Macro pictures always look. They're clear, most of them have sweet colors and for the most part, its hard to capture Macro pictures at their finest. If I had to choose a second type, it would be surrealism. Although I didn't show it, I have some good ideas that could go towards Surrealism. The artist that has inspired me the most has to be either Andy Warhol, or Alex Pardee.

5) 8th grade summer, I took my mom's camera, went outside and laid down on my lawn. I thought of how the sun always makes a picture look cool. So I looked at my camera, while laying in the grass pointed the camera kinda cock eyed angled at the sun and viola! Since then, that picture has inspired me to do more with photography. I have taken some pictures that have made me and my family proud, except I need sun, clouds and some green grass. Snow, cold and ice don't make pretty pictures in my opinion.

I've had fun in Digital Photography and its made me see my true potential.

CD Cover

I couldn't think of any cool ideas at all for a cd cover, so I just took a picture of me, edited the crap out of it and changed the color of my eyes.

Color On the Couch

In this picture, I decided to change up the pace and put a color I don't like very much into one of my pictures. It turned out pretty good. I put my camera on its Macro setting and focused it myself. then I put a whole lot of saturation into it.

I made this little guy in my human bio room. I drew a face on an ornament and took a picture of him. I didn't really set aside a specific color, mainly because just by the ornament buddy's expression you can tell its a happy picture. This picture reminds me of art class in kindergarten.

Whenever I go to school, there's always a ridiculous amount of BLACK binders. Never any other color. So I decided to saturate the colors of these binders to make it an unrealistic blue color. I took this picture in my favorite classroom.

Surreal Project

I don't like cigarettes. I hate them actually. I made this picture and associated cigarettes into them because I'm trying to tell people 'you aren't the ones smoking the cigarettes, they're smoking you.' I could've made the picture better by using a different background, but I like the originality of it.

I didn't put much thought into this picture. I could've done so much more, but I didn't have many ideas. I could've made the skull look like it was actually part of my head.

I chose the Surreal artist Fred Einaudi. His paintings caught my eye the most because of how morbid they are. I like how he can take a really pretty pictures and turn them into morbid, disturbing things.

Macro

This one I used flash. I'm not exactly sure I like it. It kinda looks like the dead flower is on the spotlight.

This one is more natural, which I must say I like better. It uses all natural lighting which makes the object look more real.

This is a picture of the kitten I got for Christmas and couldn't keep. I put a macro lens on my camera and took this. Not much explanation, I think it could be a lot less blurry.

Emulated Artist

the artist I picked is Rebekka Guoleifsdottir. don't ask me to pronounce that, cuz I really have no idea. I decided to choose her pictures because I like the modernism of them. They aren't too complicated, they don't have way too many colors, they're just simple.

This is one of my good friends Katie Bloom, she acted as my model for the self portrait as my artist.
